Gently push the charger down until it is in position to dispense the first dose. 4. The gun is now ready for use. 5. The animal should be immobilized, either in a squeeze chute, alley, or funnel. 6. Once the animal is immobilized, check that the animal's ear is clean; otherwise, clean, disinfect, and thoroughly dry the application area. Hold the ear firmly and insert the trocar into the subcutaneous tissue of the middle third of the posterior side of the ear. 7. Once the trocar is inserted, gently and completely squeeze the trigger of the implant gun. After implantation, verify that the complete dose has been deposited and press firmly on the ear hole where the trocar penetrated. 8. Before the next application, verify that the corresponding dose is ready to be applied. 9. Always disinfect the trocar before each application with a germicidal solution, ensuring that no liquid penetrates inside the trocar. 10.
