Growth promoter for finishing feedlot and grazing cattle, lasting 120 to 140 days. Increases daily weight gain, improves feed conversion, shortens the fattening period, and improves cattle conformation.
Each implant contains:
Trenbolone acetate 40 mg
17 β estradiol 8 mg
Excipient, c.b.p. 1 implant (with 2 tablets)
PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:
Implants or cartridges.
PHARMACODYNAMIC PROPERTIES:
Trenbolone acetate is a synthetic androgen, which exhibits strong anabolic activity and weak androgenic activity. 17β-estradiol is an analog to endogenous steroids.
Its activity at the tissue level (muscle tissue and fat tissue) results from: i) a direct action on target tissues (particularly at the muscle cell level, through binding to specific intracellular receptors) and ii) an indirect action through alterations in the concentrations of other anabolic and catabolic hormones, such as growth hormone, insulin, insulin-like growth factor 1, and glucocorticoids. This results in an increase in protein deposition, and therefore improved growth performance in heifers. This is the basis for the use of trenbolone acetate and 17β-estradiol to trigger growth promotion.
PHARMACOKINETIC PROPERTIES:
Following implantation, trenbolone acetate and 17β-estradiol are gradually released over a typical treatment period.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Administer one implant (2 tablets) subcutaneously in the middle third of the posterior side of the animal's ear.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Do not remove the plastic cap from the charger head. 2. Place the charger into the implant gun's opening, with the plastic cap facing forward, as shown in the diagram. 3. Gently push the charger down until it is in position to dispense the first dose. 4. The gun is now ready for use. 5. The animal should be immobilized, either in a squeeze chute, alley, or funnel. 6. Once the animal is immobilized, check that the animal's ear is clean; otherwise, clean, disinfect, and thoroughly dry the application area. Hold the ear firmly and insert the trocar into the subcutaneous tissue of the middle third of the posterior side of the ear. 7. Once the trocar is inserted, gently and completely squeeze the trigger of the implant gun. After implantation, verify that the complete dose has been deposited and press firmly on the ear hole where the trocar penetrated. 8. Before the next application, verify that the corresponding dose is ready to be applied. 9. Always disinfect the trocar before each application with a germicidal solution, ensuring that no liquid penetrates inside the trocar. 10. When all implants in a charger have been administered, the empty charger will exit from the bottom of the implant gun and should be replaced with a new charger, repeating all instructions from step No.1.
